Homework: The Notebook (movie)

"The Notebook" is a romantic movie which talk about the relationship between two young lovers, Allie and Noah, who met each other one day at a Carnival.

The movie begins with a man in a nursing house telling the story about this couple for a woman. He's telling her how they felt in love and what Allie's parents did to move her away from Noah. After years waiting some sign about Noah, including letters, but without answers, she decided to move on.

Allie start to work in a hospital during the war, where she met Lon and becomes engaged. But, she still had some feelings about Noah and after she saw his picture in the newspaper in front of the house which he told her that he will restore (he did), she decided to come back to his city just to see if he was ok. There she spent a romantic weekend with Noah and found out what happened during this years, but Allie had to make a decision between Lon, who she was engaged, or Noah, the man who she always wanted.

What do you think that happened? Allie pick up Noah whose love was always sincere. They had a good life and died together peacefully in the nursing house, side by side.

I recommend this movie for people who likes love story and don't think that every romantic movie are cheezy. And another thing that is very interesting is about parent's decision. They want the best things for their children, but not always they are right. Sometimes you need to follow your own intuition.

I am...

... the kind of person who likes to laugh. For me is very important to hang out with people who have a good humor and like to make jokes. Otherwise it's impossible to understand me. Sometimes I can't understand myself because I'm a moody person, but I prefer to talk about this with my psychologist. (See?! The first joke).

I'm an empathetic person, someone who can understand other's feelings...(I'm not joking now, I did the test in Hani's class). For me it's easy to know if someone has a problem which bothers him. But you don't need to worry, I'm not a witch, but I can read your face...(Second joke, maybe?)

Now it's serious. I'm someone who wants to see the people that I like happy. So for me the happiness of them becomes first than mine. I don't think that this is a nice characteristc, but everyone whose horoscope sign is Cancer are like this. I can't change it, but I can learn how to deal with this in some situations in my life.

This is just a little bit of my personality. Ah, and I can't forget...I love hugs.

Some places to visit in Vancouver

I'm not the best person to give some tips about what you can do here in Vancouver, but I'll try.

First, you always have to bring with you some coach and gloves. The weather here is crazy, like Lisa, my Austrian friend. Don't forget the coins, because you'll need a lot of hot chocolate to keep you warm. No beers. You're not allowed to drink on the street.

Second, be careful when you cross the street. You can't cross in the middle of the street. If you see your friend on the other side, forget it. You have to come back until the signal and cross. Yeah, it's not nice, but is safe.

Then, you can walk in downtown and go shopping. But bring your father's credit card because the things here are not cheap. After two days in downtown, you need to do something different. You should go to the parks and the cities near here.
